The NW Film Center is screening director Peter Watkins's 1974 film,
Edvard Munch TONIGHT. "One of the most moving and insightful portrayals of the artistic process ever depicted on film, Watkins's intensely personal biographical film recreates the struggles endured by Norwegian painter Edvard Munch."

PSU presents
Illuminated City, a "light with content" symposium. Members of the public are invited to hear from "leaders in the field of projected, animated lighting, including Leni Schwendinger of Leni Schwendinger Light Project LTD, Ali Momeni of Minneapolis Art on Wheels, Thomas Schielke of arclighting (Germany), and founders of URBANSCREEN (Germany)." The event includes indoor and outdoor light projects and, of course, food and booze.

Milepost 5 is having a grand opening celebration all weekend for its second and final phase, the Studios building. The looooong list of festivities includes open studios and art receptions in the new gallery spaces:
Pushing the Self Portrait: Fatemeh Talebzadeh Ordoubadi and Tamera Bremer, curated by Cris Moss, and abstract paintings by studio resident Shannon Lewis. There will also be music, ceremony, food, dancing, etc.
