At W+K Re/Activate is a collaboration of visual arts and choreography that explores the boundaries of planning and improvisation involving two well known installation artists Damien Gilley and Jordan Tull. Rachel Tess (choreography) with Thomas Thorson (abstract composition, Rachelle Waldie (costume) & Jennifer Lin (lighting design) round out the collaboration. According to the artists, "Damien Gilley and Jordan Tull create a meandering, sensory environment
that reacts to the building's architecture through a graphic, sculptural approach.
Using primarily raw building materials, the artists' reference a retro-futuristic
modernism interpreted through the language of the general contractor: a hybrid
juxtaposition of design and construction. The work plays with perception of
boundaries, transparency, and the limits of flatness through the manipulation of
materials and the gallery space."
