Photo Alchemy, a juried exhibition of "contemporary alternative process photography." Possible media and techniques include, but are not limited to, photograms, tintypes, daguerreotypes, carbon dichromates, gum bichromates, emulsion on metals, cyanotypes, collodian prints, and Polaroids. Cracked Pots and Recology, operator of Metro's Central Transfer Station, are inviting five Portland tri-county-area artists to glean materials for their art at the dump in 2011. The five artists chosen for the 6-month program, the Pacific Northwest Art Program (PNAP), will receive a $1,000 stipend and 80% of sales of their art at a public show in September. Portland Children's Museum is seeking applications for the next Artist as Educator Training Series, which prepares artists to teach in a classroom. The program consists of 6 workshops (12 hours), classroom observation time, 4 hours of independent teaching, and a final project.
