Mickalene Thomas, "Why Can't We Just Sit Down and Talk it Over"
Safety in Numbers? Images of African American Identity and Community opens at PAM this weekend. The show pulls from the museum's collection as well as private lenders for photographs, drawings, and prints that "explore the ways in which isolation, community, and the search for identity affected African Americans during the 20th century."

Vance Feldman, a panel of the ForeverScape
The Globe, a new café / alt art space that replaced Jace Gace, presents Vance Feldman's
ForeverScape. The ForeverScape is a drawing and illustration project that the artist has committed to working on throughout his life, expanding it infinitely horizontally and vertically. At The Globe, Feldman will display the first 300 original pieces, in addition to a sound reactive version of the animated illustration. The show goes through February 5.
