Artist / activist Rick Lowe is speaking at Jimmy Mak's this Monday for the second installation of
Portland Spaces' Bright Lights Discussion Series. Lowe is the founder of Houston's
Project Row Houses, "a nonprofit arts organization, established by African-American artists and community activists to create a positive presence in Houston's Northern Third Ward community." Lowe's mission is to use art and the community it creates to revitalize inner city neighborhoods, and he'll be speaking about "the new intersections of art and urbanism."
