Talking About Art Lots of lectures this weekend, starting with:
 Frida Kahlo, "Roots" Hayden Herrera presents Frida Kahlo: Her Life and Art at PAM. Herrera has published widely on Kahlo, and wrote narration for the award-winning documentary Portrait of an Artist: Frida Kahlo. Sunday, August 12, 2pm, the Whitsell Auditorium. $10 for non-members.  Pat Courtney Gold, "Honor the Frog" Basket weaver Pat Courtney Gold will be discussing her work at the Museum of Contemporary Craft in conjunction with the ongoing Craft in America: Expanding Traditions exhibition. Sunday, August 12, 2pm, the Museum of Contemporary Craft. 
Jubal Nance, from "Space Garbage 3" Multimedia artist Jubal Nance will be discussing his project Space Garbage 3 at the Portland Art Center. Sunday, August 12, 2pm, the Portland Art Center. $2 for non-members.  Ianthe Jackson Ianthe Jackson and Tim Folland will be speaking at PICA in conjunction with their participation in Gallery Homeland's Scratching the Surface.
