Breaking News: New Curator Bruce
Guenther just announced PAM's
Harold and Arlene Schnitzer Curator of Northwest Art this morning at the City
Club. And she is... Jennifer Gately. Gately was formerly the Visual
Arts Director at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts. One of Gately's first
tasks will be the curation of the Oregon
Biennial.

Expect to be overwhelmed. With just a cursory check I can see she has covered a lot of ground already from cutting edge contempoary art in Italy at the Pecci Museum of Modern Art, to a recent stint in Sun Valley. Welcome to one of the most active art scenes in the country. Also, thanks to Arlene and Harold Schnitzer who created the endowment that makes this position possible.
